Job offer for Specialist in Radiology with experience in mammography in Norway

A vacancy as a staff specialist in radiology/mammographist is open at the Telemark hospital, in Skien.

Telemark hospital covers all the municipalities in Telemark and around 170 000 residents. It includes the hospitals in Skien, Porsgrunn and Kragerø.

The position is divided between breast diagnostics and general radiology. The department has 115 employees. At the Breast Diagnostics Centre, it's performed relatively many cytologies of thyroid (US guided - about 5-10 per normal week) and biopsies of breast / axilla (up to 10 per week).

Skien is one of Norway's oldest cities, with an urban history dating back to the Middle Ages. In Skien you can find a wide range of stores, restaurants and parks. During the summer you can enjoy the beautiful beaches or you can take a boat trip in the famous Telemarkskanalen.

Tasks:

• Screening activity and clinical activity with extensive use of intervention.

• Endocrine imaging in form of ultrasound thyroid and ultrasound guidance FNAC.

• General radiology with planned and emergency operations.

• Permanent contract after six-month trial period.

• Salary starting from 5000 euro net per month. Duties, if there will be, will be paid apart.
