1st WHBA post-graduate symposium in Translational Medicine for residents and post-docs
Subject: Invitation - 1st WHBA post-graduate symposium in Translational Medicine for residents and post-docs
Dear all,
You are kindly invited to submit applications for participation or disseminate the information about the 1st WHBA post-graduate symposium in Translational Medicine with emphasis on Immunology/Rheumatology, Cardiovascular/Metabolic Medicine and Psychiatry/Neurology. The aim of the program is to indicate common ground between these specialties at the clinical and basic research level.
The symposium will take place on February 22-24, 2013 at Ioannina in collaboration with the local university and up to 45 participants will be selected. Applications should be submitted by January 10, 2013 at http://www.whba1990.org/ioannina2013meeting.html .
Nobel laureate Professor Dr. Harald zur Hausen will give the keynote lecture in the opening session and the President of the Hellenic Republic has promised to be present in order to express the appreciation on behalf of Greece for the letter that was written by Prof. zur Hausen and co-signed by 22 Nobel laureates urging the European Union leaders to maintain research funding to Greece as the only way to ignite innovation in the country and terminate the ongoing financial crisis.
